Fashion Stylist | Curated Personal Shopping List

My Curated Seasonal Personal Shopping List I recently did a poll on Instagram for what followers would like to see more of and I received an overwhelming response to  share my curated personal shopping list for this Fall. Firstly, why do I make seasonal personal shopping lists for myself and Mabelle Style clients? It's a great way to avoid impulse buys and bad purchases as well as keeps you from buying more then actually need. When you get to a place where you have a wardrobe filled with items you not only love but you actually wear,  you can then follow a curated shopping list each season to shop for items that work with your current wardrobe. You may have a few staples / basics that need replacing (like my boring black puffer coat you'll see below) and you will likely want to add a couple of trendy items to keep the wardrobe refreshed each season.  I also use a unit amount as a guideline so I don't overbuy a specific category. I personally prefer less is more in my wardrobe and I like to invest on better quality items, but it did take me awhile to get my wardrobe to that ideal place.  Once I completed my wardrobe edit last week and pulled some items to consign, I began my list.

Fashion Stylist | Transitional Fall Fashion

Transitional Fall Fashion What does transitional fashion mean? Simplify your wardrobe, have pieces that create full outfits that will take you from daytime office to evening out. Or more importantly seasonal transition pieces for those in between months, when the weather has a mind of it's own. Like right now, we are heading into Fall but have some sunny days lingering with summer coming to an end and chilly mornings before we hit full on Fall weather.  The transition pieces work wonders during this time. I want to share with you my top style picks that can get you through (September/October) with out overhauling your wardrobe ... Keep in mind layering is the number 1 style for transitioning, you can keep-up with your capsule wardrobe by wearing all your current essential pieces and layer. Blazer (Remember this can be an effortless style with-out feeling stuffy or structured) Lightweight Jacket (Could be a shacket or trench depending on your personal style) Cardigan Jean Jacket or Leather Jacket Scarves Booties I've pulled some styles & images below of current items in stores that work for the above categories. Personal Shopping | Client Stories For Men

Yes! Mabelle Style does a personal shop for men.The client ratio currently is approximately 40% male. I am aware that a lot of my blog posts happen to be geared to women's fashion & outfit posts. I want to make sure that I include a mens blog whenever I can . Last week I wrapped up three mens shops & two had lookbooks created for Fall; I'll share some photos below. Each one had very different styles. The first shop being geared toward business casual/professional, wanted a more polished & conservative look sticking to a sports coat & denim with a focus on the colours navy, charcoal, a burgundy. I did add a pop of print with a fun but stylish pocket square for the sports coat.     The second shop client looked for an eclectic style with fun prints and colours, as he says "I like my clothes to be a conversation piece." I went with the theme of burnt red for fall, tying the colour together with a fun floral print blazer from Etro & a floral shirt. Perfect looks for fall and great pieces to add to his ever evolving, captivating wardrobe. (We have shopped together for a very long time!)     For my third client, who flew into Vancouver from Victoria, BC knew exactly what he needed. He was in need of
